Role description

As an Interaction Design Lead at propelland you will lead cross-functional teams across multiple projects to create integrated design solutions for a diversity of industries, scale and mediums. In this role you get exposure to and involvement with many parts of the design process: user research, ideation, concept development, prototyping, and working with developers to deliver new products, services, and business experiences.

We add value to people’s lives through design. Our goal is to create work that resonates as desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable. Interaction Designers sit right in that sweet spot – caring about what people need, and making beautiful, engaging experiences for them.

You should have 5+ years of experience working in human-centered design, UX/UI design, Product Design, or Interaction Design

In your day-to-day role, you will:

  • Inspire clients and colleagues with original ideas, strategic thinking, and exceptional craftsmanship. You will transform business needs, market research, brand strategy and user insights into innovative concepts for digital products across a wide variety of industries.
  • Interact with clients, colleagues and external parties to make sure our design solutions are conceptualized and delivered with top-notch quality.
  • Work across the entire digital landscape — native apps, web apps, websites and digital UI/UX for IoT products, etc.
  • Proactively identify, and help develop business opportunities with existing clients in collaboration with our growth team and other leads at propelland.
  • Align and collaborate with other team members locally, regionally, and globally.
  • Work systematically with complex processes and align them with strategic direction.
  • Develop insight-driven product strategy, present your ideas, and facilitate workshops.
  • Lead teams across multiple projects from discovery to go-to-market.
  • Contribute to the growth and mentorship for emerging designers in the interaction design discipline.
  • Contribute to the development of propelland by pushing and exploring methods, procedures, etc. to develop the interaction design discipline. You will forecast the direction the industry is taking – and make sure we’re at the forefront of innovation and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product design experience, preferably with some previous experience at a design studio, agency or consultancy.
  • Portfolio demonstrating a sophisticated approach to business, technology, and experience requirements in interaction design across multiple industries.
  • You can clearly articulate the process, approach, and impact of your design in verbal, written, and visual presentation.
  • Client management experience, and an understanding of the importance of building trusted relationships.
  • A proven track record of leading teams and managing projects from inception to launch.
  • Have a solid understanding of technical constraints within a project and use that to come up with innovative solutions to solve user and business needs.
  • You take initiative and own projects and deliverables, big and small. The details matter, and you’re committed to getting it done right.
  • Fluent in translating stakeholder goals, user research, and complex user flows into engaging experiences.
  • Master communication skills, and the ability to deliver compelling design rationales in both client and internal contexts.
  • You effectively convey your opinions to peers directly with clear expertise and humility. You encourage others to challenge or build upon your opinions.
  • The hacking mind-set to constantly question the status quo and propose better ways of working.

NOTE: International candidates must hold a valid US working permit.
