We are looking in Colombia for a highly ambitious/energetic/passionate Junior Business Designer, an strategist that has the power to translate ideas into a compelling vision for projects, understanding complex systems and how they impact people’s behaviors. That enjoys both analytics and creative ways to explore solutions to a variety of problems by using a user-centric approach. You will report to the Business Designer Mid. For this position you need to be skilled in excel and other numerical tools like Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Power BI, Big Data, have attention to detail, you are kind and work collaboratively with others, thriving in ambiguity, strong communicator (storytelling, pitch development) & fluent in English.

Once here you will…

  • Support in solving business problems end-to-end, from identifying user needs to the final product/service business model concept.
  • Work with tools to support project development from an analytical perspective: e.g. Business intelligence tools.
  • Implement the design research process on projects which includes defining research goals, frame and design necessary research activities to help empathize with users to achieve those research goals -including Quantitative research.
  • Execute the business design process on projects which includes building creative/business modeling frameworks, brainstorming new businesses/service experience concepts, designing and visualize them in order to best communicate to the team and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct secondary research, including trend benchmarking and competitor analysis.
  • Collaborate with other designers, developers, and researchers to bring integrated and holistic value to our clients.

Does this sound like you?

  • Have recently completed (1 to 2 years), a university degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Marketing, Economy, or a related numeric/analitic oriented disciplines.
  • 1 year experience in analytical areas (BI, Finance, Marketing services, etc.)
  • You are a strong communicator (verbal and written) skills English and Spanish., storytelling, pitch development, etc.
  • You are curious and passionate for learning new things / humbleness + ambitious for growing.
  • You are known for an extraordinary attitude: Always willing to help and add value with a readiness to jump in and work with a diverse group of people and spearhead brainstorms and conversations.
  • You are organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter in a demanding environment.
  • You achieve objectiveness through data, facts and analytics to ensure business design projects execution, providing grounded solutions and added value connected with a strong business and strategic holistic vision.
  • You feel comfortable working with a variety of disciplines and methods, like Design Thinking +HCD – Basic knowledge of other user research, ethnography and discovery methods – Business Model Canva
  • General understanding of quantitative research methodologies (surveys) & basic financial skills
  • Capacity to work with data and analytics to find patterns and design strong and well supported models as well as proposals that solve client`s needs.
  • You have a good proficiency in excel and other numerical tools. e.g., Tableau, ThoughtSpot, power BI, etc.
