The Opportunity

Cosentino, as the market leader in countertops, wanted us to identify opportunities that would help them reinvent the future experience in the kitchen, while transforming the countertop purchasing process, currently managed mostly by pros and big box stores.

The Challenge

Transforming Cosentino´s core business towards a new ecosystem of products and services based on a smart data platform to generate new channels of direct relationship with users through three different approaches:

IDEATION OF DISRUPTIVE CONCEPTS

After conducting intensive research, we gathered enough Insights to ideate up to 7 disruptive concepts of Smart Countertops. From those 7 ideals, the client validated 3 concepts; Welcome by Cosentino, MyKitchen Pal & Cohub.

UNDERSTANDING THE MARKET

In order to identify opportunities that could help come up with a revolutionary concept, we conducted interviews to understand present and future challenges of the industry, as well as client and user real necessities.

PILOT EXECUTION

Product launch on a controlled market in favor of gathering key data and validating final aspects of development.

Focused on stimulating coexistence between families, Cohub considers both needs and preferences of all family members and offers an intuitive, personalized service that creates a unique atmosphere, making the kitchen the perfect place to connect with each other.

WELCOME BY COSENTINO

In a saturated industry where it’s hard to differentiate from the rest of competitors, Welcome offers a unique experience during a critical phase of the customer journey: the countertop installation, which represents a new beginning for many users  remodeling or building their kitchen. The objective was to build a long term relationship with the buyers, adapting to their needs and evolving with them.

MYKITCHEN PAL

Born to assist on the countertop design process and subsequent purchase, a clear painpoint for many users, MyKitchen Pal offers a personalized, guided service to help customers choose the product that better fits their home and their life.
